  • Repay any debts to the Australian government.

  • Not have had a previous visa cancelled or refused.

  • It must be in the best interests of a child to apply.

  • Sign the Australian values statement.

The Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 835) currently costs $4035AUD for the main applicant and additional fees for each family member.  There are other costs for health checks, police certificates, biometrics or to cover the cost of other checks as may be required. You must be outside Australia when you apply for this visa. You must be sponsored by an eligible person in Australia. This visa enables you to stay in Australia indefinitely, work and study in Australia, enroll in Medicare, sponsor relatives to come to Australia and apply for Australian citizenship if eligible. This visa enables you to travel as many times as you like to and from Australia for 5 years. After this time you will either need Australian citizenship or to apply for a Resident Return Visa.
