REFUGEE & HUMANITARIAN VISAS

GLOBAL SPECIAL
HUMANITARIAN VISA

This visa allows you to move to Australia if you face substantial discrimination or human rights abuses, and have a proposer, and stay in Australia permanently with your immediate family. It is known as the subclass 202 visa. You must be outside Australia at the time of applying.

PROTECTION VISA

(Subclass 866)

This visa is for people who are in Australia and want to apply for protection. It lets you stay in Australia permanently if you arrived on a valid visa, engage Australia’s protection obligations and meet all other requirements.

TEMPORARY PROTECTION VISA

This visa is for people who arrived in Australia without a valid visa, and want to apply for protection. It lets you stay in Australia temporarily if you engage Australia's protection obligations and meet all other requirements for the visa

SAFE HAVEN ENTERPRISE VISA

This visa is for people who arrived in Australia illegally and want to apply for protection. It lets you stay in Australia temporarily if you engage Australia's protection obligations and meet all other requirements for the visa

REFUGEE VISAS

Refugee Subclass 200, 201, 202, 203 & 204 fall into the category of refugee visas. This is a permanent visa if you are subject to persecution within your home country. It allows you to live, work, study in Australia indefinately.
