  • Meet the necessary health requirements.

  • Meet the necessary character requirements.

  • Repay any debts to the Australian government.

  • Not have had a previous visa cancelled or refused.

  • It must be in the best interests of a child to apply.

The Aged Dependent Relative Visa (Subclass 838) currently costs $6100AUD for the main applicant and additional fees for each family member.  There are other costs for health checks, police certificates, biometrics or to cover the cost of other checks as may be required.
